Looking to welcome already trained divers into your club... and keep them coming back for more? We can help!

Already trained divers from other agencies can be a real asset to any BSAC club. Not only do they come with a qualification, but they also bring experience, enthusiasm and additional skills that can directly contribute to the running of your club.

More than 40% of BSAC members have completed qualifications with PADI or other agencies at some point... and a BSAC club is the ideal way for already qualified divers to keep diving. View below or download the 'How to welcome already trained divers into your club' guide.

Tens of thousands of people that live in the UK qualify as new divers with other agencies every year so a great opportunity exists for clubs to recruit these divers.

Please remember:

  • Already qualified divers are not required to 'crossover' or do further training (unless they want to!) They can just use their existing qualification and join you diving.
  • You can invite trained visitors to 'try before they buy'. Visiting divers will be covered with BSAC’s insurance for up to seven times to dive as a guest with your club.

Offer Scuba Refresher sessions in your club

A Scuba Refresher session is the equivalent of a Try Dive but for already trained divers. You could avertise your club's Scuba Refresher sessions just like you would a Try Dive.

Free Scuba Refresher packs

Your club can order Scuba Refresher session participant packs (similar in format to the Try Dive packs), for free. To do that, a Branch Officer needs to login on bsac.com then go to the BSAC Shop (they are in the 'Promotional materials' section).

Alternatively, you can Download digital Scuba Refresher packs.

As with Try Dives, we recommend you charge for the session. We recommend about £40.
