A new initiative to support clubs in recruiting already-trained divers has exceeded expectations.
With 142 clubs signing up in the first couple of weeks. Designed to deliver already trained diver leads to clubs, the new Scuba Refresher Leads scheme is part of BSAC’s wider Let’s Grow Diving programme of support for clubs.
Tens of thousands of Brits qualify as new divers with other diver training agencies every year, either at home in the UK or overseas. It’s hoped that more of these divers will be encouraged to join BSAC clubs and discover UK diving as a result of the scheme.
The initiative was launched alongside a new training session for clubs to use – the Scuba Refresher Session. This new in-pool refresher is a session aimed at divers who feel they may need a little brushing up. As part of the new initiative, already-trained divers will be able to have a refresher session with clubs participating in the scheme.
Marketing Manager Debbie Powell said she was pleased with the response so far.
More clubs are signing up almost every day. Already-trained divers are a real asset to BSAC clubs and we’re excited about raising the profiles of the clubs in the scheme and delivering them new leads.
