After listening to club feedback, BSAC has made the Heinke Trophy more accessible to enter than ever. The award now follows a two-year cycle to allow clubs the time to plan, deliver and present their stories with pride.
For the Heinke Trophy 2026, this means that participating clubs have until the end of 2025 to plan and prepare for the 1 January to 31 December 2026 reporting year.
Interested in entering your BSAC club for the Heinke Trophy 2026? That’s great news! Here’s what you now need to do.
Guide to entering the Heinke Trophy
STEP ONE: REGISTER YOUR CLUB
Clubs wishing to submit an entry for the Heinke Trophy 2026 should register their intention to do so by 30 November 2025 using the online application form.
If you are thinking about registering, but are not sure, please email the Heinke team who can advise you if this is the right time for your club to enter.
STEP TWO: PLAN FOR YOUR REPORTING YEAR
Once registered, your club will have until the end of 2025 to plan and prepare for what you intend to report on and include in their Heinke Trophy 2026 report.
Read our in-depth guidance on what you need to include in your final Heinke report.
You will also be able to access one-to-one mentoring once you register to help plan your application year journey. Please contact the Heinke team if you would like to sign up for a mentoring session.
STEP THREE: RECORD YOUR CLUB'S ACTIVITIES
The activity phase for the Heinke Trophy 2026 is from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
During this time, participating clubs will need to document their activities, progress, achievements and successes throughout the year to create their final Heinke Trophy report.
Our Guide to compiling your Heinke Trophy report outlines what your report needs to cover.
STEP FOUR: SUBMIT YOUR FINAL REPORT
You have until midnight on 31 January 2027 to submit your final Heinke Trophy report.
Your Heinke Trophy report should cover your club’s progress and achievements during 2026 and can be submitted as either a hard copy or a digital/electronic version (eg. PDF, CD, online, USB, via Dropbox or filesharing etc).
Digital entries should be sent to heinke@bsac.com
