An exciting new era is beginning for BSAC, with the launch of the new MyBSAC membership system in July 2025!

Here’s a useful summary of everything members, Club Officers, centres, and instructors need to know.

What is MyBSAC?

Accessible from a link on the website, MyBSAC is the new self-service platform for members that empowers them to manage their membership more effectively themselves. Powered by Sport:80 and used by more than 75 other sports organisations (although modified for BSAC), the platform makes everyday tasks simple and reduces the need for paper forms, help from Club Officers or phone calls to HQ.

When does MyBSAC arrive?

To enable the team to roll out new MyBSAC, some BSAC systems will be unavailable during the week of 23-30 June.

Services unavailable during switchover

Due to the way BSAC systems are connected, the following systems will be unavailable during switchover:

  • eLearning
  • MyBSAC / login to the website
  • Club Management System (CMS)
  • Sign up for Direct Debit
  • Event booking system
  • Instructor resources
  • Find a club/find a centre tool
  • Digital membership card
  • iSCUBA archive
  • Medicals

With member data successfully migrated, the new MyBSAC should be available from 1 July.

What members need to do following go-live on 1 July

Due to the planned service disruption, we recommend members complete as many tasks as possible before 23 June.

For example, endeavour to complete any eLearning purchased, as eLearning will be replaced by a completely new system as part of the switchover.  Ideally, students who have started eLearning for any qualification should complete all eLearning modules by midnight on Sunday 22nd June. Don't worry all lessons completed before this will be recorded on your training record but BSAC will be switching to the new system after this date. Although in the new eLearning system you will not have to rewatch the videos or read the student guide you would need to quickly repeat new end of module tests from the start of the course to get back to where you left off because this is a completely new eLearning system.

We’ve created a MyBSAC guide with an overview of the key changes you can expect to see. Familiarise yourself with the changes that are coming at bsac.com/mybsacguide

The full guide will be available from 23 June with videos, explainers and FAQs.

What Club Officers need to do

Data will be ported across from the existing membership system into new MyBSAC during the week of 23 June. If you have member details that are currently out of date, we recommend that you log in to the existing CMS and update them now to ensure correct data is passed into the new platform when it becomes available.

What instructors need to do

The MyBSAC app will be retired from 23 June, and there will be no way to sign off training during the switchover week that follows. For this reason, we recommend that any outstanding lessons or grades are signed off in the app as soon as possible. You will need to manually record any training that takes place during the switchover period and update student records later.

What centres need to do

As above, any instructors who use the MyBSAC app to sign off training are advised to update any known records as soon as possible.
