Facebook advertisements (ads) are working so well for clubs wanting to recruit new members that BSAC is now offering a free ad service for the first 100 clubs that come forward.
The ad service was piloted at the recent ‘Know and Grow’ workshops for clubs. BSAC’s Debbie Powell set up an ad on the club’s behalf and the club then received new member enquiries directly. Based on the performance of those clubs’ ads BSAC is now rolling out the service for the first 100 clubs that come forward. If there is sufficient success for these clubs the service will be rolled out to all.
BSAC club successes with Facebook ads
The first club that tried the ad was Rugby Sub-Aqua Club. On the ad for Rugby SAC, Andrea Jones, the club’s Secretary said:
The ad was created on the Saturday and by the Monday we had someone visit the club from it! We had about eight enquiries from the ad in the first week.
Newry & Mourne Sub Aqua Club also had an ad set up for them. Philomena Gonnelly, the club’s membership Secretary said:
The results from the Facebook post were phenomenal. The post reached thousands of people close to our club and we already have three people wanting to join.
BSAC wants ALL clubs that are looking to grow to benefit in this way. Debbie Powell said:
Facebook has provided a fantastic opportunity for clubs to attract new members. However, not all clubs looking to grow are capitalising on this and we hope this offer will change that.
How to claim your free ad…
- Are you wanting to recruit new members?
- Does your club have a Facebook Page (not Group)?
- Can you commit to responding to enquiries within 24 hours?
If your club can answer “Yes” to the questions above, please email marketing@bsac.com or call 0151 350 6224 to chat to the team about getting started.
