Love your club and want to help it flourish? Here are some small things all members (or the parents for the younger members) could do today to help their clubs.
Most members have a loyalty towards and want to support their club. Time and other commitments can be a barrier to step forward for the bigger volunteering roles. However, there is no reason that members can't take the following smaller steps to assist their clubs.
1. Rate your club
If you love your club, review it! On the club's Facebook Page you can 'Recommend' it and leave a message about why you love your dive club. Google Maps ratings are also handy. Genuine recommendations and nice words about your club add weight to your reviews and will go far to improving the online presence of your club.
To 'Recommend' on Facebook, go to your club's Page and click the 'Reviews' tab on the left-hand side. If the 'Reviews' tab is not present, you may need to ask your Branch Officer to activate it.
Please note, if your club has a Facebook Group and not a Page, you will not be able to rate it. We recommend all clubs have Facebook Pages as well as Groups as this is a better way to advertise your club. For more information, visit our Getting started on Facebook page.
To review on Google Maps, find your club's listing and click the 'Write a review' button in the 'Review Summary' section.

2. Post on social media
Post pics and videos from diving trips, training, socials or holidays on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - tag or link your club and let everyone know where you're doing these amazing things.
3. Get your friends involved
Refer your friends, family and colleagues to your club - never stop talking about how much you love it, as genuine enthusiasm is the best ad!
4. Read all about it
Recruitment support for clubs is accessible for all members, not just committee members! You're invited to our free Know and Grow workshops and you can read more about growing your BSAC club here.
5. Get more involved
... if you can! Let your committee know you have ideas, that you want to help. There are small jobs as well as the bigger ones. If you do have a little time, don't be shy of asking to join the committee!
