Lots of content that paints an inviting picture of your club to potential new members could pay dividends over Christmas and New Year. Here are some ideas to help keep your feeds topped up.
Remember you can schedule posts on all social media platforms so you don’t need to be glued to your device 24/7.
Share the festive spirit
Share content from us adding a little note from yourselves! Whether it’s sharing or retweeting our social posts, or utilising some of our archived content on the BSAC blog, what’s ours is yours this Christmas.
But we aren’t the only ones! There are so many diving and environmental outlets which will be producing content this Christmas - share posts that you think will resonate with potential new learn to dive or already trained members.
Winter warmers
If you are doing any diving over the holiday, make sure you keep posting any pics or vids to show what an active club you are year-round.
Time to remember
Before the end of the year, schedule a post to ask members to share their favourite diving picture from 2019. Create a Facebook album of these pictures with captions from your club members as a reminder of what amazing diving memories you made this year.
Looking forward
Now you’ve looked back, time to look ahead! Post about your dive trips for 2020 along with a picture from one of your 2019 trips. Summarise the highlights and how members need to go about booking on.
Why learn to dive in 2020?
Post about your Try Dive and Ocean Diver course plans for 2020. Maybe pin this to the top of the page so people that may find you over the holiday period can clearly see what their options are.
Tell a story
Do you have a newly qualified Ocean Diver or maybe a new already trained member that has a story to tell? Your club probably has lots of inspiring personal stories that could be shared. Adding them to your blog/website and sharing on social media over the festive season could showcase your club culture and help engage potential new members.
If you don’t have a blog section on your website, then consider Instagram! Accompany each story with a relevant image from the member, but remember that you only have 2,200 characters to get it all in.
