Is your club making a difference in your community? Then the Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2026 want to hear from you.
Organised by the Sport and Recreational Alliance, the awards aim to recognise and celebrate grassroots sports and recreational groups around the UK.
The 2026 awards are free to enter, with eight award categories and the winners will receive £500 for their club.
This year’s award categories are:

Sustainable Club Award
- Wellbeing Champion Award
- Innovator Award
- Social Impact Award
- Grassroots Hero Award
- Next Generation Award
- Community Club of the Year Award
- Breaking Barriers Award
BSAC’s Severnside SAC scooped the Innovation award back in 2015, with their SS Baygitano adopted wreck project.
On winning the award, Severnside’s Nigel Braybrooke said:
It was a huge honour to be presented with the award and to have diving recognised alongside traditional sports such as football, rugby, ice skating.
Application forms should be received no later than 11 September 2026 and the winners will be announced in due course.
