Who are Sport:80 and why have we selected their platform?
Sport:80 is a software company specialising in digital solutions for sports organisations. Alongside over 80 other sports across the US and UK, BSAC have partnered with Sport:80 to implement a new membership platform.
How do I access the MyBSAC platform?
Existing members will be registered on the platform using their existing email address, and they should use the 'Forgot password?' link to set a password. The platform is located at https://bsac.sport80.com
New members will use the new platform to register.
Is there training provided to understand how to get the most out of the MyBSAC platform?
In addition to the FAQs available on this area of our website there is also a MyBSAC guide to help with many queries associated with the portal.

Am I expected to use the MyBSAC platform?
The new self-service platform enables you to conveniently manage your account online. You can view your current membership/s, renew your membership, upload any required documents, and keep your profile information up-to-date. You still have the option to call BSAC on 0151 350 6201 and renew your membership over the phone.
What information will I need to provide to create an account?
Getting started is easy – We’ll only need some basic information from you to personalise your experience. A name, postal address, phone number, email address and date of birth.
Can I still contact BSAC for help via telephone and email?

What should I do if I forget my password?
Simply click the 'Forgot Password?' link below the login fields. The platform will issue an email with instructions to reset your password and get you back on track.
Is my joining date still the first of the month?
A member's join date is now the actual date they join and not the first of the month as it has been before. Clubs can change their levy date but only BSAC HQ can override a member's date.
Can I access the platform via my mobile or do I need a desktop device?
The MyBSAC platform is fully responsive and optimised to work across all common devices, so you can manage your membership with ease, no matter what device you’re using.
Can multiple people from the same organisation have access?
The platform offers tailored permissions for clubs, centres and regions using the platform. This allows us to provide the right level of access and support for your specific needs.
Is there any system requirement for using the MyBSAC platform?
The platform is designed to be accessible, so you won’t need any special software. As long as you have a reliable internet connection, you can use most modern web browsers to access the system.
What file formats will be accepted for uploading documents in the platform?
To make things as easy as possible, the platform supports a wide range of popular file types, including PDFs, JPEGs, JPGs, and PNGs. Plus, you can upload files up to 20MB in size.
Will I be required to upload a picture for my membership card/qualification cards?
A picture is still required for qualification cards. The same file types and size limits will apply.
How long will it take to create a MyBSAC account?
Account creation can be completed in just a few minutes and is similar to most other digital platform signups you will commonly complete.
How will I be notified of the status of my membership?
The platform is designed to generate member notification emails at various steps in the process. This may on occasion include requesting additional information be provided to progress your application.
I am an active diver or snorkeller required to provide medical referee information; how do I upload my records to the platform?
Your medical referee document can be uploaded via the platform, please see our guide here. During the period of your medical referee certificate, the platform allows you to submit a medical self-declaration.
Will the platform provide notifications or reminders regarding renewal deadlines?
We’ll keep you informed by sending reminders when your renewals are approaching.
Is there an auto-renewal option for my membership?
Yes, you can choose to set up auto renewals via Direct Debit or using a payment card.
What happens to my current membership number, will I receive a new number?
Existing membership numbers will be retained.
Do I need multiple different account logins if I hold different roles?
All users will have a single user account which can have access to multiple profiles. These profiles may be: your individual profile holding your various qualifications, OR an officer profile holding a role at your club or centre. Users have the ability to toggle between these profiles once logged in depending on what task they need to complete within the platform.
Will the platform offer the ability to electronically pay for my membership and to purchase items through the shop, pay/book onto training events?
Yes – via two shopping baskets. The MyBSAC platform operates on an integration with a standard secure electronic payment provider Stripe and offers a number of popular payment methods akin to most standard e-commerce platforms, including Applepay and Googlepay.
There will be a link to the MyBSAC shop when logged in, but this uses a separate shopping basket/checkout for payment. See the Shop FAQs.
Will I still receive a physical membership card, or will it all be online?
Plastic membership cards will no longer be issued as standard. A digital membership card will be available to add to the ‘smartphone wallet’ using the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet functions on your smartphone, and also viewable via the platform.
Members can opt to purchase a plastic membership card through the BSAC shop.
What happens to my information stored in the old platform?
Member information has been securely transferred onto the new platform.
Can I opt-out of receiving updates or communications from Sport:80?
You can manage your communication preferences directly within the platform. All members will receive essential/status updates about their membership.
Will I still have access to the BSAC member benefits via the website?
Yes! Our Partner benefits are unchanged. There will be a link to BSAC Plus in the navigation on new MyBSAC. Signed up BSAC Plus users should have received new login details from our partner, Boostworks.
