Summer 2026 is shaping up to be BSAC's biggest yet, with a run of action-packed events taking place across the UK from late July right through to the August bank holiday.

Whether you're into scuba, snorkelling, or just fancy a fun day out by the water, there's something in the calendar for you. Get your tickets booked now so you don't miss out.

Scoob & Snork Fest — Saturday 25 July, Spring Lakes

First up is the Scoob & Snork Fest, returning to the West Lake at Spring Lakes in Long Eaton, Nottingham, after a hugely successful launch last year. Hosted by BSAC Centre Diverstime, this year's event promises to be bigger than ever, with TV adventurer and SCUBA snorkelling correspondent Andy Torbet back for a "Skydive to Snorkel" — parachuting into the lake with a team of five skydivers from around 2,500ft before snorkelling to shore.

DJ

On land there's a full programme of try dives, rebreather sessions and snorkelling tasters, plus kit stalls from brands including Cressi, Suunto, Apeks, Ocean Reef, Kubi, Miflex and DYNAMICNORD. Add a DJ, food stalls and a charity raffle in aid of the RNLI, and it's shaping up to be a fantastic day out.

Day tickets are £20, available at diverstime.com.

Vobster Quay Summer Dive+Party — Saturday 1 August, Somerset

A week later, BSAC will be on hand at Vobster Quay's first-ever Lakeside Summer Dive+Party in Somerset — the inland dive site's biggest event of the year, raising funds for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Look out for the BSAC stand in the exhibitors' area, where regional reps will be around all day.

Vobster summer party

The day runs from 07:30 to 16:00, with plenty of demo kit from Fourth Element, Suunto UK and Kent Tooling available to try in the water. From 18:00 the lakeside turns into a party, with three live music acts (headlined by Glastonbury veteran Sam Evans), a DJ until 22:00, a hot meal with vegan and gluten-free options, a licensed bar, freediving workshops with Emma Farrell, and charity Country Fayre games.

Tickets: Dive + Party £34.95pp, Party Only £15.45pp — non-members pay the same as members for this event. Book at vobster.com/event-summerparty.

BSAC Snorkelling Festival — Sunday 23 August, Swanage

Later in August, snorkellers of all ages and abilities are invited to Swanage, Dorset, for BSAC's biggest snorkelling gathering yet. Running roughly 10am–4pm, the festival is a relaxed, family-friendly day of casual snorkelling, optional training sessions, and a chance to meet fellow BSAC members from clubs across the country.

Open water snorkelling

Parking is available at Swanage Pier and nearby car parks, and there's plenty of local accommodation if you want to make a weekend of it. Places aren't ticketed, but BSAC is asking everyone planning to attend to register their interest in advance to help with planning — register here.

NW Dive Fest — Friday 28 August, Capernwray, Lancashire

Rounding off the summer, the NW Dive Fest returns to Capernwray for its fourth year, right at the start of the August bank holiday weekend. Organised by the BSAC North West Regional Team in support of Air Ambulance, it's billed as the biggest yet — a family-friendly celebration of scuba diving for divers and non-divers alike (spectator entry is free).

Capernwray Dive Festival

Expect the latest kit to try from Apeks, Northern Diver, DYNAMICNORD, Mares, Aqualung and Cressi, plus tester sessions on CCR, sidemount and scooters, an underwater treasure hunt, photo competition, auction, raffle, live DJ, music and food.

Tickets are £22 for Capernwray members or £28 for non-members (includes a day pass), and early bookers are entered into a prize draw for six free air fills. Book at bsacnwdivefest.co.uk.

Four events, five weeks, one unmissable summer. Get your tickets sorted and we'll see you by the water.
