Here you can find the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the new MyBSAC platform, powered by Sport:80.

Where do I find a list of training events?
Logged in, on the left hand menu, listed as the third item - click on 'Courses'

What does the 'View' button do?
This provides an overview or summary of the training course.

How do I search for an event?
Click on the menu item 'Courses' and search for the name of the event, for example 'OWIC' or 'Search and Recovery.'

How do I book onto an event?
From the event listings, click on 'Enter now'. Or from the in-depth view click on the blue button 'Register'. You will be shown:

  • the course details and entry fee; click 'next'
  • You have the option to provide emergency contact details; click 'next'
  • You can provide additional information, ie anything you want the course organiser to be aware such as special requirements or health conditions; click 'next'
  • Leave the 'random allocation' box blank; click 'next'
  • Click 'Done' - you can then 'Checkout now' and pay for your course. 

To secure your place, you need to 'Checkout now' - otherwise the course will sit in your basket and you will not be booked on.

How do I redeem a discount code?
Follow the steps above. At the checkout stage you can enter your code into the 'Discount code' box and the price will be adjusted.

The event I want to attend is showing as 'Ineligible'. What does this mean?
You current qualifications or diving grades do not meet the pre-requisite requirements for that course.

An event is showing as 'Ineligible' but I have the correct qualifications. What should I do?

Where can I see my booked events?
On your profile, scroll to the bottom and click on 'Entries'. All courses you are booked onto will be listed.

Can I amend an event booking?

What if I can't see the event listed I want to book?
Full or cancelled events will disappear from the listings. If there's an event not scheduled that you want to go on, email bookings@bsac.com

I'm a Training Officer, can I book for a group of students?
Attendees need to book onto the event themselves, as the system updates their individual record.

I'm a parent of a child (under 16) in BSAC, can I book them onto a course?

A group of us would like an event and we can't find one close enough to us. Can events be set up?
Email bookings@bsac.com to discuss your options.

I was unable to attend the event - can I get a refund?
No-shows are not refundable. Check the bookings policy for full terms.

The event was cancelled - what happens next?
If an event is cancelled, you will be offered an alternative event or a refund.

Will I get a reminder before the event?
You will receive a confirmation when you book onto an event. There is no reminder from the system.

Where can I find the joining instructions?
These will be sent by the system two weeks before the event.

Do I need my own equipment to take part in a training event?
Yes, this information will be sent as part of the joining instructions.

Can my BSAC club host our own event?
This is a feature that will be offered through the platform at a future date.

Can I book onto events hosted by other BSAC clubs?
As above this is a planned feature.

Do I need to pay separately for the venue, eg inland dive site like Stoney Cove or training facility?
Yes, other costs are payable separately.
