Many BSAC clubs are experiencing positive results following their attendance at the new ‘Know and Grow’ workshops organised by BSAC.
As part of the ‘Let’s Grow Giving’ programme of support for clubs, three Know and Grow workshops have taken place across the UK so far, helping 45 clubs with their growth ambitions.
Participating clubs have been taught several skills including how to spend £10 on a Facebook ‘Boost’ and enjoyed new member enquiries coming through within days.
Paula O’Hare, Assistant Training Officer at Newry and Mourne Sub Aqua Club said (just two days after the event):
It gave us a bit of a wake-up call… we’ve had three Try Dive enquiries already.
The free workshops have been designed for members wanting to take an active role in growing their club’s membership. The aim was to give members the insights and practical skills and techniques needed to turn their clubs into active and growing clubs.
So far, events have taken place in Loughborough, Crawley and Lisburn and more workshops are due to be scheduled.
