As interest in snorkelling continues to grow, BSAC is looking to increase the number of snorkel instructors supporting growth in our clubs and centres. Teaching snorkelling can be a hugely rewarding experience. As a scuba instructor, why not add an extra skill to your repertoire?
We have defined three crossover pathways. Each pathway takes account of both your diver grade and instructor level, giving credit for those skills you have already mastered. Our approach is to only require you to fill any gaps before being awarded the appropriate snorkelling instructor grade.
Each pathway comes with a pack that outlines the skills to be taught and assessed. This can be done either in your club or on a regionally organised event.
