Instructors
BSAC's extensive network of highly skilled diving instructors is the driving force behind our worldwide reputation for training excellence and safety.
BSAC Instructor Training Scheme runs over 170 events each year, providing training and assessment at all levels for both amateur and professional instructors. BSAC standards are internationally recognised.
For more information about becoming a BSAC Instructor, see the link Scuba Instruction. For a full list of scheduled events, go to Courses and Exams.
Please note that to maintain proper quality control, BSAC does not support independent instructors. All instructors must operate either through a BSAC club, Coaching Teams or as a professional in a BSAC recognised training Centre.
BSAC Centres of Excellence
These Centres are also able to provide instructor training events.
Instructor Induction for other-agency qualified instructors
BSAC recognise instructors qualified with most agencies. Registration for the Instructor Crossover provides a substantial Induction pack prior to attendance on an Open Water Instructor Course. Following attendance on this one day course you will be awarded BSAC Open Water Instructor.
See the Information Sheet.

Instructor Workshops for Centres
For professional instructors working in dive centres, there are special workshops enabling recognition of other-agency instructors to become accredited to deliver BSAC diver training. These workshops are organised through the Centres Team at BSAC headquarters.
