Technical Diving Instruction

There are 2 grades for Techinical Diving Instructor regardless of whether or not it is for Open Circuit or Rebreather training. The 2 grades are Instructor and Instructor Trainer.

Technical Instructor
All instruction for BSAC Technical Diver grades (Open Circuit and Rebreather) must be conducted by appropriately qualified Instructors. In addition to basic BSAC Instructor qualifications (OWI and above) Technical Instructors need to be expereinced in the type of Technical Diving they are teaching and have recieved additional training in the extra techniques used at this level.

Technical Instructor Trainer
The training and development of Technical Instructors is delivered by Instructor Trainers who are themselves experienced Technical Instructors who also have recieved additional instruction and assessment as Instructor Trainers (either on BSAC ITS or with other technical training agencies).
