Expedition Trophy

The trophy
can be awarded annually. It is awarded to an expedition that
promotes the true spirit of adventurous diving.
Most Expedition Leaders are quite modest and take their reward from the
satisfaction of having completed the aims of their expedition safely,
successfully and perhaps more importantly, knowing that those
participating in the expedition enjoyed the experience. However, the BSAC consider that for exceptional Expeditions should be
more formally recognized; hence the BSAC Expeditions Trophy.
In order for an expedition to be judged for the award, it must first be
brought to the attention of the BSAC Expeditions Officer. This is done by submitting an
Expedition Report together with a
completed Expedition Trophy Application Form (currently identical to the
Expedition Grants, BEGS, application form) the BSAC Expeditions
Officer (expeditions@bsac.com) by the 15th October for Expeditions which took place since that date the previous year. Participants in expeditions with particularly modest Expedition Leaders
may apply on behalf of their Expedition Leader, but must follow the
same submission process and should seek approval from the Expedition
Leader.
The winner is presented with the Trophy at the DOC.
