Become a member of the Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club

Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club has a team of 9 Nationally Qualified Instructors who can offer training in the following diving grades; Ocean Diver, Sports Diver, Dive Leader and Advanced Diver.

The Ocean Diver and Sports Diver courses are run on demand throughout the year.

The training comprises of;

• Classroom based theory lesson and a theory exam. Usually run on a Wednesday night.

• Pool training lessons. Carried out at our weekly pool nights.

• Open Water Lessons. These are usually done at an inland diving site such as Gildenburgh Waters, a flooded quarry designed for diving with several wrecks and training platforms.

When you qualify as an Ocean Diver you will be able to dive to 20 metres. As you move through your training to become a Sports diver this is increased to 35 metres.

Our members have a wide range of diving skills meaning we can offer training in boat handling, kit maintenance and wreck appreciation.
