Regional Coaching Scheme
The Regional Coaching Scheme's role is to directly support BSAC clubs and members and keep our clubs up-to-date on BSAC developments. Divided into UK and Overseas regions, the scheme provides training and diving advice as well as guidance on club management. It also offers a range of regional training opportunities that may not be available through all BSAC clubs.
Regional coaching teams:
Regional Coach -
Responsible for coordinating BSAC activities within a specific region through the management of a team of Area Coaches and Skill Development Course (SDC) Instructors.
Area Coach -
All BSAC clubs have an allocated Area Coach. Area Coaches are experienced instructors who live locally and are the club's first point of contact. They visit clubs at least once a year and any other time, if needed.
Skill Development Course (SDC) Instructors -
Each region has a team of experienced instructors who teach on SDCs detailed in the annual Programme of Events, issued by BSAC HQ
