Trained with PADI, SSI, SAA or another agency? You don't need to start again. Bring your qualification and experience to a BSAC club and find the people, boats and diving to use them.

Come diving with us

If you hold a recognised qualification from another diving agency, you can join a BSAC club and dive within your existing qualification and experience. You don't need to complete any BSAC training first, just come diving with us!

  • Can I dive with a BSAC club on my current qualification? Yes.
  • Do I have to retrain? No.
  • Do I have to become an Ocean Diver or Sports Diver first? No. Your existing qualification and experience are recognised.
  • Can I just join and go diving? Yes — within your qualification and experience, and subject to the normal things that apply to any dive: currency, conditions, the site, your equipment and the dive plan.
  • Can I add BSAC qualifications later? Yes, if you want to. Your existing training is recognised and there's a clear route onwards. It's your choice, not a requirement.
  • What if I need to refresh or are new to UK diving? Totally fine. We can help you brush up skills and teach you all about UK diving, that’s what we do!

This is what club diving looks like

Your qualification got you diving. A club keeps you diving.

A BSAC club gives you buddies you can dive with, a calendar of organised diving and social events, and shared access to the things that are expensive on your own — boats, compressors, pool time and kit.

You're not joining another training agency. You're joining people to dive with.

Being part of BSAC also brings third-party liability insurance, 10 issues of SCUBA magazine a year, specialist diving advice, member discounts and access to club and regional training. Member benefits

There are BSAC clubs across the UK and overseas. Go along to a club night, meet a few people, even get in the water — there's no commitment until you decide there is.
