Do you want to showcase the difference your club is making to its members, its community and our sport? Then tell your story and you could be the winners of the 2027 Heinke Trophy.
Since 1958, the Heinke Trophy has been a cornerstone of the BSAC community, celebrating the achievements and impact of its clubs and their members. It has championed scuba diving, snorkelling and highlighted the contribution BSAC clubs make to our sport.
Following the trophy’s successful relaunch last year, the Heinke Trophy team is now inviting submissions for the 2027 Trophy.
The Heinke Trophy – what's new
The relaunch of the Heinke Trophy now sees the introduction of a new two-year cycle to allow clubs to plan, deliver, and present their stories with pride.
This means that the Heinke Trophy 2027 kicks off in June 2026 with a ‘preparation phase’ running until 30 November 2026. This is followed by the activity phase from January to December 2027 during which clubs record their activities, achievements and successes throughout the year to create their final Heinke Trophy report.
All final reports for the Heinke Trophy 2027 must be submitted by 31 January 2028. The winner of the trophy will be announced by Spring 2028.
Reasons to enter
Each year, the winning Heinke Trophy club will receive a £1,000 prize and be awarded the Heinke Trophy. Their achievements will also be shared across BSAC’s platforms as a shining example of what great club diving and snorkelling look like.
Could your club be our BSAC Heinke Trophy 2027 winner?
The Heinke Trophy is open to BSAC clubs of all sizes – UK-based and overseas, diving or snorkelling (or both), well-established or new. Clubs entering the Heinke Trophy will be asked to record and produce a report showcasing a ‘year in the life’ of their club.
Here’s what your club needs to do:

Register your club’s intention to enter the Heinke Trophy 2027 by 30 November 2026

Record and document your club’s activities from 1 Jan – 31 Dec 2027

Submit your final report by 31 January 2028

Your final report can be a digital/electronic/multimedia entry as well as a traditional format – the choice is yours!
The Heinke Trophy 2027 winner will be announced in Spring 2028.
