Always striving for improvement and innovation, BSAC are now producing all student diver training materials in self-contained cartons. The packs will comprise of the same contents as before for each diver grade and variation - as appropriate. The only difference will be the introduction of separate binders for the Student Notes - for each diver grade. The new cartons will ensure that each student gets all the material they need enclosed together, rather than loose components which can get separated. The new packs will be easier to mail out and handling will be more convenient for both Branches and members. Qualification Card - now with every diver grade  Meeting the demand from members, we are now including the Q-Card in the cost of the training materials - for each diver grade. Negotiating a special cost and outsourcing, we have kept the price increase down to a very modest amount of just £2.00 extra per pack. This is the first increase in five years - and we have added value to the packs too by including the Q-Card with every diver grade! Training material delivered August 6 onwards will be the new-style packs. Q-Card Application Form - and updating members' records Enclosed in each training pack will be a Qualification Card Application form. This will enable the Branch DO or Centre Instructor to endorse the application for students. Not only will this trigger the generation of the card, but it will also ensure that members' qualifications are up-to-date. (Currently BSAC HQ is dependent on the annual membership renewal form as the main facility for members' records to be updated). Benefits will be tremendous. With members' qualifications more current, this will help when enrolling on instructor events, where qualifications need to be verified as entry requirements. The same form will be used for applications for Q-Cards for SDCs too (Advanced Nitrox, ERD etc.) Online too! In addition to the paper copy of the Q-Card Application Form, as this is dependent on being completed and posted, we have devised an online version too. This will enable the Branch DO or Centre Instructor to endorse the application for students - making the delivery of the card and updating the details even quicker. The various Training Packs are detailed below. Online ordering will be available as usual. TRAINING PACKS TP1 Ocean Diver Student Training Pack For new Members of a Branch who want to learn to dive. Contains the ‘The Diving Manual’, QRB binder/inserts and Ocean Diver student notes (including qualification page) with A5 binder. £32.00 
TP2 Sports Diver Student Training Pack For Members who have completed pre 2002 Club/Ocean Diver training and wish to gain the new Sports Diver qualification. Contains the QRB binder/inserts with transition page and Sport Diver student notes (including qualification page) with A5 binder. £22.00 
TP3 Dive Leader Student Training Pack For Members who have completed pre 2002 Sports Diver training and wish to gain the new Dive Leader qualification. Contains the ‘Dive Leading Manual’, QRB binder/inserts with transition page and the Dive Leader student notes (including qualification page) with A5 binder. £32.00 
TP4 Advanced Diver Student Training Pack For Members who have completed pre 2002 Dive Leader training and wish to gain the new Advanced Diver qualification. Contains the QRB binder/inserts with transition page and the Advanced Diver student notes (including qualification page) with A5 binder. £22.00 
TP5 Abated Student Training Pack For Abated Members of a Branch where 2 or more members live at the same address. The Abated member must join the BSAC before purchasing this pack. Contains the QRB binder/inserts, Ocean Diver student notes (including qualification page) with A5 binder. £22.00
SDN Sports Diver Student Notes For members who have completed the Ocean Diver course and wish to further their training and gain the Sports Diver qualification. Contains Sports Diver Student Notes (Including qualification page) with A5 binder. £12.00
