Try DivesIt's easy to try diving. BSAC branches all over the country offer try-dive sessions for first-timers at their regular pool meetings.Our annual Try Dive Week will be 24th - 30th September 2007. BSAC Branches all over the country will be opening their doors to welcome you and to introduce you to the BSAC. Check with our Where to learn section or call 0500 947 202 to locate your nearest BSAC club.
Each try-dive is about 1 hour in duration, including poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment. This is followed by a scuba dive in the pool with BSAC qualified instructors to make sure you get maximum enjoyment from your first scuba dive. Many Branches are ready to welcome you at any time (look in the Branch Locator).In the equivalent of 4-6 days continuous training you could be a BSAC Ocean Diver, a scuba qualification that will help you witness first hand the wonders of a coral reef and the host of marine life that it supports, underwater wrecks, a whole new world for you to explore. And it is a sport that keeps you fit too. A Try-Dive can help you save time and money by finding out in advance if you like diving or snorkelling. It allows you the chance to sample an exciting sport for free and to gain an insight into the fascinating world beneath the waves. .....or a Snorkelling lesson. Snorkelling is an ideal introduction to this new underwater world. It is inexpensive and a perfect way to get fit.
